- Sources Sought- USDA Forest Service Francis-Marion National Forests in South Carolina. This is a request for information in preparation for a possible future solicitation. There is no funding or guarantee of future work associated with this request. Any time, effort or resources spent on your response is totally at your own risk. Vegetation Management to include drum chopping, herbicide application and other similar types of work The USDA Forest Service has an upcoming requirement to provide Vegetation Management for the Francis- Marion and Sumter National Forests located in South Carolina. The Solicitation will result in a Multiple Award IDIQ Option Contract. This contract will consist of a 12 month base period with the potential of 4 additional 12 month option years. The anticipated start date for the base period is currently May 15, 2017.
