- Description
- The US Forest Service, National Forests of North Carolina, Uwharrie Ranger District, on the Crow Creek near Eldorado, NC in Montgomery County, has a requirement for stream restoration. Work includes but is not limited to, constructing stream structures in the channel along approximately 1,500 feet of unstable stream channel to improve degraded conditions. To get to the site, from Highway 109 at Eldorado, take SR 1302 to SR 1184 to FSR 6513, a gated Forest Service road on the right (a total of approximately 2.9 miles from 109 to FSR 6513). Take FSR 6513 approximately one (1) mile to Crow Creek stream crossing. This places you in the middle of the stream enhancement project. The magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A bid guarantee is not required. No bonds will be required of the successful offeror. This is a new project and there are no incumbents. The solicitation will be available on this site, www.fbo.gov, on or about 5 April 2017. A site visit will be held; the time, date, and location will be listed on the solicitation.
