Description

RFI document The Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer (CIO) tasked the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) to assist the National Background Investigation Bureau (NBIB) within the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) the to develop a new background investigation system. This system will replace the system breached in July 2015. DISA's National Background Investigation System (NBIS) is seeking information from industry regarding their ability to construct this system within an efficient and cost effective manner. THIS IS A DITCO PL8 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The NBIS program office is issuing this RFI as a part of its market research to determine capabilities of interested offerors. This RFI is requesting responses from both large and small businesses including the following subsets: Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Women-Owned Small Businesses and Historically Underutilized Business Zone Small Businesses. The Government does not guarantee that it will answer questions received after 1400CT Thursday April, 6, 2017. The Government will not reimburse companies for any costs associated with the submissions of their responses.
