Sources Sought Announcement This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential sources capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area of expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) Type of business, e.g. small or other, as appropriate and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below in italics. Statement of Work Southern Arizona Veteran Affairs Health Care System, (SAVAHCS) is located at 3601 S. 6th Ave, Tucson AZ, 85723 and is seeking contractors who can fulfill a continuous requirement for services to provide all labor, material, refrigerant and supervision to fulfill the maintenance requirement needed. The purpose of this contract will be to secure materials and the qualified technical labor that is required for the successful maintenance and service of existing Refrigeration Systems. The contractor shall include electrical, mechanical, piping, valves, drain heaters, pan heaters; defrost timers, controls, insulation and any associated refrigeration equipment; including walk-in doors, handles, locks, hinges, walls, floors and ceiling, including door gaskets and door sweeps. Current Equipment consists of the following: Walk-in freezers /coolers (evaporators) Copeland compressors/condensing units Evaporative condensing cooling towers Variable frequency drive (VFD) for cooling tower Contractor will accept equipment in AS-IS condition. This Full Service Maintenance plan provides full service for repair, inspections, adjustments, and cleaning of all existing equipment. The contractor shall be capable of providing Emergency Repair Services. The contractor will be required to provide the following type of services to the equipment. Refrigeration Services will include: Comprehensive inspections and evaporative coil cleaning - one inspection annually will be required on all existing equipment. Operational Inspection, three inspections required annually at equal intervals. Evaporative Condenser Tower services will include: Comprehensive inspections and condenser coil/tower cleaning - operational inspections, two inspections annually at equal intervals. Additions and exceptions will include belts and make-up water float will be included. All refrigerant shall be included. Refrigerant handling as per EPA regulations. All maintenance completed per manufacturer recommendations and or VA Direction. Air Cooled Condensers 2(ea) Comprehensive inspections and condenser cleaning - two inspections annually at equal intervals Operational Inspection, two inspections annually at equal intervals.
