Description

The purpose of this Request For Quote (RFQ) is to solicit for a Contractor to provide for a Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) (also known as a Registered Vascular Technician) for the Surgical Care Clinical Center at the VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), Baltimore, Maryland VA Medical Center (VAMC) Campus. The Surgical Care Clinical Center (MCCC) operates a Vascular Laboratory, provides non-invasive ultrasound testing. The Vascular Laboratory performs ~350 non-invasive studies a month. In order to meet the clinical demands of the Vascular Laboratory, it needs to be staffed by at least two (2.0) full time equivalent trained and experienced Medical Instrument Technicians. Secondary to staffing issues, the Vascular Laboratory requires the services of an experienced Vascular Medical Instrument Technician to ensure the Vascular Laboratory operates efficiently and prevents delays in patient care. The Contractor shall provide an experienced Medical Instrument Technician(s) with at least two (2) years of experience as a Registered Vascular Technician/Medical Instrument Technician in a Vascular Laboratory. Technicians shall hold Registration by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
