- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with GE Healthcare, Inc. (GE), 100 Results Way, Marlborough, MA 01752-3078, as the only responsible source that can perform preventative and corrective maintenance services and diagnostic and repair services for the following systems: GE Radiographic/Fluoroscopic, Angiography/Interventional, GE Optima AMX 220 Mobile X-Ray, GE Radiographic/Fluoroscopic mobile units (C-arm) and GE Radiographic XR 656 Systems. These systems are utilized onboard the USNS Comfort (T AH 20). This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. GE is the only manufacturer and reseller of their proprietary parts (and software). Work performed on equipment manufactured by GE must be completed by authorized GE repair technicians. Only GE Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and OEM certified technicians are authorized to perform services on equipment manufactured by GE. No other source is capable of providing GE parts or GE certified technicians. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. This Notice of Intent (NOI) is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same service. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
