- Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI): Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN) System Solicitation #: N68335-17-RFI-0179 PSC: 5825 (Radio Navigation Equipment, Except Airborne) NAICS Code: 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing) Response date - 14 days Primary Point of Contact: Evanuel Hairston evanuel.hairston@navy.mil Phone: 732 323 2094 This Sources Sought/Request For Information (RFI) notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206-302-1(d). Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division 4.11.7, Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems Division, and Naval Air Traffic Management Systems Program Office (PMA-213), St. Inigoes, Maryland, has a requirement for technical, engineering, logistical, repair and testing services for the TACAN System. This equipment is being used on systems that were developed to meet the Government specifications that only defined Form, Fit, and Function requirements at the system level. This effort includes, but is not limited to: - Procuring equipment and supplies associated with the tear down, evaluation and repair, technical and restoration services and spare and repair parts for TACAN systems •· - Repair of battle damage, crash damage, and environmental damage to TACAN systems •· - Complete inspections and cleanings of the equipment, returning the equipment to a like new condition •· - Restore or refurbish TACAN parts and components to a level of serviceability comparable to a new system •· - Upgrade TACAN systems via Engineering Change Proposals •· - Fault isolation •· - Assembly, disassembly, and refurbishment of TACAN parts, components, assemblies, and materials THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of review. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future associated solicitation that may be issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website: www.fbo.gov. It is the potential vendor's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information. HOW TO RESPOND Interested parties are requested to provide whitepapers, commercial pamphlets, or any other documentation that would describe the company's ability to meet the above requirements. Responses shall be limited to ten (10) pages and submitted via email to Evanuel Hairston at evanuel.hairston@navy.mil. The Contracting Officer, Kevin Smith, shall also be copied on the email submission at kevin.smith11@navy.mil. Responses are due no later than 5 April 2017, 5:00 P.M. EDT.
