Description
The following Questions were recieved by the Contracting Office regarding the solicitation. The Answers are included herein: 1. Would like clarification of the Subfactor 1 - Lift/Reach requirement for raising the top of the aft vertical shaft (no less than 664 lbs), with sling attached, to a hieght of 35 feet. The question and answer responses of March 15, 2017 appear to state that this is now a threshold requirement with an objective requirement of 40 feet. Attachment 0014 - Requirement Summary Matrix does not appear to be consistent with this Lift/Reach requirement. Please clarify this requirement. ANSWER: The task in question is not included in Attachment 14, Requirements Summary Matrix. Per the solicitation, the ability of the offeror's crane to perform this task is not required for the offeror to achieve an acceptable rating in the Lift/Reach subfactor. However, as stated in Section L, Part C "Evaluation Approach," 9 "Technical Factor," a "sub factor 1 lift/reach," bullet number 5, the ability of the offeror's crane to perform this task may result in a higher than acceptable rating for this subfactor. In performance of this task, 35 feet is an acceptable height and 40 feet is the maximum that adds value to the crane. Please let me know if you have any questions about this or the rejection of due date extension.
