- SOURCES SOUGHT This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to NACIS 541990. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. (DRAFT) STATEMENT OF WORK Contractor shall freeze existing three inch domestic water line. Line shall be frozen so VA personnel can change out a nonworking 3 valve with a new one. VA personnel will work in conjunction with contractor during freezing of line. Line is a 3 copper hot water line. Line is at ambient temperature and there is no flow in the line at this time. Line is in Interstitial under clinic 4. Contractor will need approximately 250 foot of hose to get from where tanks can be set to where freezing is to take place. FIRE SAFETY A. Hot Work: Contractor shall perform and safeguard hot work operations in accordance with NFPA 241 and NFPA 51B. Contractor shall coordinate with Project Engineer to obtain a hot work permit from facility Safety Officer in advance of the work. B. Fire Hazard Prevention and Safety Inspections: Contractor shall inspect entire construction areas weekly. Contractor shall coordinate with, and report findings and corrective actions weekly to Project Engineer. C. Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in and adjacent to construction areas, inside existing buildings, and additions under construction. D. Contractor shall dispose of waste and debris in accordance with NFPA 241. Remove from buildings daily. All interested firms shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, capability statement, business size, DUNS and GSA contract (if any) pursuant to the NAICS code 541990. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to John.Ritter@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be received in writing no later than Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10a.m. CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties shall respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
