- This is a sources sought notice only and it is not a solicitation notice. Please DO NOT provide a quote at this time. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors and their socioeconomic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 238220. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to the sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted to GSA s ebuy. A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to the forthcoming solicitation. The VA in Omaha, NE is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller Maintenance. See attached Statement of Work (SOW) for details. This is not a solicitation and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The purpose of this sources sought is strictly for market research purposes. Please send all responses to Travis Johnson at travis.johnson2@va.gov NLT 2:00pm CST on 27 March 2017. Statement of Work Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller Maintenance The contractor is to be a certified Trane trained technician for Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller. The contractor is to furnish all materials and labor to perform the following Manufacturer Recommended maintenance schedules for Annual, Quarterly, and Seasonal start up items. This is to include grease, cleaning solvents and wiping cloths. Contractor must also include the cost of all required repairs to maintainable components on the systems specified. Contractor must use only Trane certified replacement parts for repairs. Contractor must perform Manufacturer's recommended Annual Maintenance Schedule for Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller to include, but not limited to: 1. Test solution sample and refrigerant water sample. Perform purifier purge check with condensing coil cleaning. Purge pump maintenance Vacuum line leak checks Control panel checks Refrigerant and solution pump checks Absorber spray pump test External solution filter service Absorber condenser/absorber tube brushing with heads removed Contractor must perform Manufacturer's recommended Quarterly Maintenance for Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller to include, but not limited to: Test refrigerant water sample Perform purifier purge check with condensing coil cleaning Perform recommended maintenance on purge pump Change vacuum oil pump Test sequence of operation with microprocessor Check operating test log with microprocessor Contractor must perform Manufacturer's recommended seasonal start up Maintenance for Horizon Two Stage Absorption Chiller to include, but not limited to: Absorption unit vacuum check Pre start service Seasonal start up on Horizon Two Stage Absorption unit Perform maintenance checks on purge pumps v belts, Pulleys, change purge pump vacuum oil, purge pump vacuum test, purge pump motor maintenance, and vacuum line leak check Perform water flow/pressure drop test Check control panel electrical inspection External solution filter service Test sequence of operation with microprocessor Check operating test log with microprocessor Location: VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, Omaha Division 4101 Woolworth Avenue, Omaha, NE 68105 Scope: Provide all necessary supervision, labor, equipment and material necessary to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, parts and repair of elevators, dumbwaiters and cart lift equipment in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications and schedules as listed in the Technical Section of this Addendum. Contractor may request a walk through prior to submitting a quote. There will not be a formal walk through for this project. The contractor must schedule a walk through at least 48 hours in advance. Specifications: 1. General: a. All scheduling of work will be done with the COR. b. All preventive maintenance and inspections will be performed on weekdays during normal duty hours (8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) unless special arrangements have been made with the COR. c. Work and inspections will be performed on consecutive days until all services are completed. d. Vendor will report to COR to sign in, and acquire badge. e. Vendor will provide to the COR competency documents for its representatives working at the medical center. f. Vendor s representative will wear an identification tag provided by the COR when working in the medical center. g. Vendor will report to the COR to sign out, and return badge. h. Vendor will report to COR upon arrival and before departing facility whenever repair work is being performed after normal duty hours, on weekends, or holidays. i. Written procedures and a checklist to be furnished by the contractor to Facilities Management Service for items under PMI. j. Vendor will provide a copy of all checklists, data, notes and/or preliminary reports gathered during inspection before departing the facility. k. Vendor will furnish final reports in paper and electronic formats produced in either Word Perfect or Micro-Soft Word for each service (preventive maintenance and inspections, emergency service) performed. Checklist: Vendor will provide a completed service report indicating complete details/documentation (including identified deficiencies) of inspections performed.
