Description
THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 21 will be issuing an Invitation for Bid for General Construction Contractor. The project will be located at VA San Francisco Health Care. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to perform the requirements of Project #662-17-007 Replace Community Living Center (CLC) Doors and Finishes. Contractor shall completely prepare site for construction operations, and furnish all labor, equipment and materials and perform work for the expansion and modification including demolition of the San Francisco Community Living Center Annex, San Francisco, CA as required by the drawings and specifications. Work Included: Work includes general demolition and replacement of; doors in hallways for each patient wings on ground and first floor; all handrails on ground and first floor; and flooring in patient wing in first floor. The contractor shall remove and replace approximately 1400 LF of the Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring to match existing 6 wide planks (LVT) in patient wings on the First floor in Wing 1B and 1C. The LVT shall be Centiva code no. FE 0795, or approved equal. The contractor shall remove and replace in kind the 6 vinyl cove base where the new LVT is replaced in corridors in patient wings 1B and 1C. The period of performance is 200 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available at www.fbo.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through this website. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all bidders to frequently check the website for all notices, amendments, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the bidder regarding the solicitation. The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding. This project is being solicited as a total-Service Disable Veteran Own Business Set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220, with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 14 April 2017. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this notice is being published at least fifteen days before issuance of the solicitation.
