Description
Chemicals List Draft Statement of Work SOURCES SOUGHT Multiple Chemicals The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) seeks information from vendors that are capable of providing the chemicals listed on the attached chemicals list and who are capable of performing in accordance with the attached Draft Statement of Work. It is anticipated that certain vendors may not be able to represent a capability to supply all of the chemicals, but responses are sought from vendors can supply at least 2,000 of the chemicals. If a vendor can supply at least 2,000 but not all of the chemicals, please indicate all chemicals (including those that exceed the minimum) that can be provided. The purpose of this notice is market-research based and is issued to identify organizations capable of meeting this requirement. This announcement is not a Request for Proposals or Quotes (RFP/RFQ) and does not commit the Government to award a contract now or in the future. The information contained in this notice is DRAFT only and as such, is subject to change prior to issuance of a solicitation. No solicitation is available at this time. After results of this market research are obtained and analyzed, NIST may conduct a competitive or noncompetitive procurement and subsequently award a contract. NIST is seeking responses from all responsible vendors, including large and small businesses but it should be noted that one objective of this market research is to identify small businesses capable of performing, which could lead to an eventual small businesses set-aside procurement. This requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 325199 (All Other Basic Organic Chemical Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. Interested business organizations that believe they may be capable of meeting NIST's desired specifications should provide a brief capability statement and return the chemicals list spreadsheet with the chemicals (at stated quantities and purity levels) highlighted. Vendors may provide supplemental information within this document or as an attachment at their discretion and are encouraged to state comments regarding unavailability of chemicals on the list.
