Attachments SF-1442 Day Use Area New Water Line from the East Shelter to the Beach U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS EAU GALLE DAM PROJECT W501 Eau Galle Dam Road SPRING VALLEY, WI This project is located approximately fifty miles east of St. Paul, MN in the Village of Spring Valley, WI. Work consists of installing a new water line that runs from the well located at the East Shelter to the beach bathroom area. All work shall be done in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local codes and regulations. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete this work. It is recommended that prospective bidders visit the site prior to submitting a quote. 1. SCHEDULE. This work shall be completed no later than May 19th, 2017. 2. Project Coordination: The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating a schedule and access to the work site with Brad LaBadie. He can be reached at 651-290-5716. 3. Location of Utilities: The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying the location of all utilities within the immediate work area prior to commencing construction operations. 4. Installation of New Water Line - The new water line shall be installed starting at the wellhead near the East Shelter, to where the water line tees to the day use bathroom and beach. Replace the beach water line using curb stop provided, and run to the existing copper pipe located 11 feet out from the beach bathrooms. Near the end of the run (near the beach bathroom building) the contractor shall install a tee fitting and another 18' section of pipe capped with a shutoff valve to allow the system to be drained in the off season. The total distance is approximately 738 feet. - All fittings used are to be brass. - The line shall be 1.5" CTS polyethylene pipe with a maximum working pressure rating of at least 160 PSI. - The line shall be buried at a minimum depth of 2 feet. - All lines and fittings shall be pressured tested for leaks prior to backfilling. 5. Restoration of Work Area Any work areas disturbed installing the water line shall be backfilled, leveled and compacted to before construction condition. 5. ENVIRONMENTAL. Care shall be taken to avoid damaging any tree, shrub, recreation equipment, turf, vehicles, office building or parking area adjacent to the office. The contractor shall repair any such damage at no increase in price to the Government. 6. SAFETY. The contractor shall perform all work in a safe manner. All work shall be performed in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, EM 385-1-1. 7. PAYMENT. Payment shall be made in full upon satisfactory completion of the work.
