Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) intends to issue a sole source order to MasterControl, Inc., 6330 S 3000 E Suite 200, Salt Lake City, UT 84121. The objective of the contract is for Software Maintenance and Support of the existing proprietary MasterControl Software acquired as a Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software. Due to the proprietary nature of the software, the work can only be performed by the original vendor and will be a contract for maintenance. This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code is 541519, Other Computer Related Services. NOTE: 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302
