Description

THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 5.203. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY AND NO RESPONSE IS REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a solicitation for the design, fabrication, assembly, integration, delivery, installation, set-up, testing and training of a Non-Sequential Large Examining and Printing Equipment (ns-LEPE) machine that will convert previously printed sheets into finished currency. One (1) ns-LEPE will be installed at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) Western Currency Facility (WCF) located in Fort Worth, Texas. The Government intends to include in the proposed contract up to five (5) optional ns-LEPE machines, which will be installed at BEP's WCF and/or Washington, DC Facility (DCF). The Government also intends to include options for spare parts, UV curing systems and Demonstration materials. The Government anticipates that the resulting contract will be firm fixed price with a base year and options for up to five (5) additional ns-LEPEs. We anticipate issuing a solicitation on or about May 22, 2017. An unrestricted full and open competitive solicitation is planned for this requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 333244, Printing Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 Employees.
