- Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office One (NCO 1) intends to release solicitation VA-241-17-Q-0240 for Legionella water testing for all eight major medical centers across VISN 1 (VA New England Healthcare System). This solicitation will support legionella suppression efforts across New England in accordance with VHA Directive 1061, Prevention of Healthcare-Associated Legionella Disease and Scald Injury from Potable Water Distribution Systems, dated August 13, 2014. Services will include sample collection, testing, species identification, and basic technical consulting to support water safety committees across eight medical centers. The full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS www.fbo.gov on or about April 12th, 2017. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 541620 with an applicable small business size standard of $15 Million. Performance period will be 365 calendar days after award, with four 1-year option periods. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming request for quote (RFQ) solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. All questions should be directed to the Contracting Officer, who will consolidate all questions and release a FAQ amendment (if necessary) once the solicitation is released. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Prospective firms must be registered in the system for award management (www.sam.gov) and in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database on Vet Biz (www.vetbiz.gov) prior to award.
