Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Minneapolis, Minnesota intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Cassling Diagnostic Imaging to perform preventative and emergency maintenance, including parts, glassware, and detector coverage of the Siemens Medical Symbia T6 SPECT/CT system, in accordance with original equipment manufacturers written procedures. The services will be performed at the Iowa City VA Health Care System at 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246-2208. A sole source procurement will be issued to Cassling Diagnostic Imaging because they are the sole Siemens authorized service provider in the State of Iowa. Cassling has been trained by Siemens to maintain and service Siemens equipment based on the manufacturer s guidelines, enabling Cassling to provide these services under the provisions of their own terms and conditions of service to the customer. The maintenance and service of this equipment is needed in order to carry out the continuity of patient care. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $19M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 9:00 AM CST, April 5, 2017 to sandra.mcanany@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
