- This amendment identifies the correct Solicitation number within the synopsis. Solicitation number is S17PS00024. All else remains unchanged. The Department of the Interior's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement intends to release an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Solicitation No. S17PS00024, for Hood Mining Tar Gap 3061 Mine Reclamation Project, on or about April 10, 2017. NAICS 237990 is applicable. Size standard is $36.5M. Reclamation of the Hood Mining Tar Gap 3061 site is being funded by bond forfeiture and civil penalty monies. Award shall not exceed $198,000.00. The project site is located in Grimsley/Wilder, Fentress County, Tennessee. The majority of the work shall include the mobilization and demobilization of contractors workers, equipment, and materials. Site preparation, clearing & grubbing, erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance. Excavation of an area to dispose of stockpiled coal. Construction and placement of rock lined and vegetative drainage channels. The general regrading, and the revegetation of all disturbed areas. The IFB will result in a single, firm fixed price contract to be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The IFB will be released publicly at https://www.fedconnect.net, and all documents in the solicitation package can be viewed by clicking Search Public Opportunities on the Home page, then searching by Reference Number S17PS00024. No hard copies of the IFB will be issued. Amendments, if any, will also be posted on FedConnect. Pre-Bid Conference will be held on or about April 19, 2017. The period of construction performance is 50 calendar days with an anticipated start date mid to late May. Bids will be due on or about May 10, 2017. Bidders must have an ACTIVE Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. Point of contact for this action is Michael Lamb.
