Description

This is Sources Sought announcement only this is not a Request for Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, and the VA Medical Center in Bath, NY anticipate a purchase order for the following: Pulper & Build Up: (Mfg: Hobart) - Brand name or equal (supply product info for equal) Mfg Part # Quantity Pulper (extruder) +Buildup WPS1260 +buildup 01 Removal/disposal existing equipment 01 Fabrication of sorting table 01 Install new equipment 01 Minimum requirements: Motor size 6-7 horsepower TEFC-totally enclosed fan cooled - water press motor 2.09 horsepower (TEFC) - Capacity of at least 1000#/hour - Ability to handle foodservice waste mix, consisting of food scraps, paper, cardboard, as well as plastics, milk cartons, and aluminum foil - Stainless steel - have trough connection - easily cleaned either with a removable screen or hot water hook up - recyclable extracted water for reuse (water saving) The appropriate NAICS Code is 333318 Other Commercial and Service Industry Machinery Manufacturing This procurement is for new items only; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
