- This requirement is for alterations and fittings services in direct support of the Air Force's basic military training mission at JBSA-Lackland solicited under FA3016-16-R-0072. The 502d Logistics Readiness Squadron issues military uniforms to an estimated 40,000 active-duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve non-prior service trainees annually. These specific services are required to ensure each trainee receives uniforms that fit properly and project a standardized, professional military image for the wearer. "Alterations and fittings" encompasses 23 separate garment tailoring tasks with nearly-infinite variations based on the height, weight, body shape and gender of the individual trainee receiving the end product.
