- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the manufacture and delivery of four (4) Aviation Tube Bender part number 210R5ABCDE-25-GN on a sole source basis with PHI-Tulip, City of Industry, CA. The Tube bender is a hydraulically powered rotary type bender capable of bending tube diameters of ¼ inch to 1 inch with a minimum bend radius of ½ inches and a maximum radius of 3 ½ inches. The Tube Bender has a minimum bend radius of two times the Tube Outside Diameter (TOD). The 210R5ABCDE-25-GN Tube Bender is capable of bending tubes in lengths up to 5 feet. PHI-Tulip is the Original Engineering Manufacturer (OEM) of the 210R5ABCDE-25-GN Tube Bender. The government does not possess the required technical data to effectively solicit this requirement by full and open competition NAWCADLKE intends to award this contract under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
