Description
This is a Sources Sought/Market Research synopsis. The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center Contracting office is performing market research to ascertain whether there are potential sources and their business size classification (HUB-Zone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, or Veteran Owned Business) relative to NAICS Code 337215 Showcase, Partition, Shelving and Locker Manufacturing. The Medical Center is particularly interested in identifying Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and their capability. The Medical Center is seeking potential sources to provide Static High Density Storage for new the Lake Charles Outpatient Clinic Lake Charles, LA. DESCRIPTION A.1 INTRODUCTION The new Lake Charles Multi-Specialty Outpatient Clinic (hereafter designated CBOC) requires new Static High Density Storage for Prosthetics & PM&R storage room. A.2 BACKGROUND As in new construction High Density Storage is not available to appropriately equip the new space. Appropriate High Density Storage, as specified below, must work in tandem with the design of the structure to create a space that is Patient-Care Centered (PCC) and must support the implementation and maintenance of Patient-Centered Care as defined by Planetree, PACT (Patient Aligned Care Team) and other similar collaborative VA requirements. This project has an expected completion date of July 15, 2017. A.3 SCOPE OF WORK The selected vendor will provide, design, procurement, and installation of Static High Density Storage, in the Prosthetics & PM&R storage room space as identified by VA Interior Design staff during the activation process and on supplied drawings. High Density Storage requested for this project must meet specifications as identified in this scope of work. The products specified must meet the minimum quality standards for the new Multi-specialty Clinic (CBOC). The selected vendor will be required to supply, deliver and install Static High Density Storage to the CBOC, located on the ground floor of 3601 Hwy 14, Gerstner Memorial Drive, Lake Charles, LA 70607. The timeframe for delivery receipt shall be no later than 8 weeks following award of contract. B.1.1 HIGH-DENSITY STATIC STORAGE UNIT- FOUR POST TYPE METAL SHELVING Required Quantity: Lot of 1 as shown in FIG.1 Location: (Prosthetics Storage Rm.) Item A: Qty: 9 Overall Width: 48 Overall Depth: 36 Ea. Overall Height: +/-75 (To be Determined at field verification) Item B: Qty: 1 Overall Width: 36 Overall Depth: 36 Ea. Overall Height: +/-75 (To be Determined at field verification Item C: NIS Not in Scope Specifications / Salient Characteristics: Suggested Manufacturer(s): Space Saver, Aurora Storage Products, Datum Products or Equal. B 1.2 Specific Requirements: Static Four Post Open Moveable Shelves Overall Width: 48 (A) & 36 (B) Overall Depth: 36 ea. Shelf Overall Height: +/-75 (To be Determined at field verification) Shall be provided as shown below in FIG. 1 Shelving shall have 3 shelves and an open frame top as shown in FIG. 2 Must be Installed without any prep or damage to the floor. Easily expanded or relocated without damage to the floor or walls. B.3.1 DESCRIPTION General: Four-Post Type Metal Shelving. Finishes: Fabricated Metal Components and Assemblies: All components to be painted with an electrostatically applied Powder Coat paint. Fabricated Laminate Components and Assemblies: Manufacturer s standard low-pressure or high-pressure laminate finishes. Fabricated Non-Porous Solid Surface Components and Assemblies: Manufacturer s standard. Fabricated Acrylic Components and Assemblies: Manufacturer s standard. Sizes: Available in heights of 76.25 and 83.75 inches as noted on drawings (variable in 1.5 inch increments as required). Available in nominal widths of 36 and 48 inches, as noted on drawings. Available in nominal single-faced depth of 18 inches or double-faced depths of 36 inches, as noted on drawings. FIG. 1 FIG. 2 C.1.2 WORK REQUIREMENTS A. Availability: All associated sub-contractors are to be local to the Lake Charles LA, LA area within 200 miles to ensure ease of communication, coordination, final finish specification, installation, and all punch list and warranty issues. Additionally, must have a manufacturer s representative local within 200 miles of the Lake Charles, LA. C.1.3 Design Services, Drawing & Procurement Requirements The Contractor shall provide Design Services, Procurement and Project Management. C.1.4. Installation The contractor will be required to install all products. This is not a solicitation for quotes. A solicitation will issued at a later date and time. All information submitted in response to this source sought notice is considered voluntary. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide: company name, address, point of contact, phone number, DUNS number, geographical location, business size and number of employees. Additionally, all SDVOSBs and VOSBs who respond to this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.   Contracting Officers are required to verify that all SDVOSBs and VOSBs who are interested parties are VIP Verified during entire acquisition process. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Veronica Maskell, Contracting Specialist at veronica.maskell@va.gov. A telephone response will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than April 5, 2017, NLT 12pm CST.
