- Statement of Work Equipment being ordered: Countertop Griddle with Stand Vendor shall provide the following items, Griddle, Gas Countertop with stand. A griddle is a piece of kitchen equipment that can be used to cook various menu items for patient meal service. The cooking surface measures 36 W x 24 D and is composed of a 1 thick polished steel griddle plate. The griddle is low profile, and has stainless steel front, sides, front grease trough, 4 back and tapered side splashes, and 4 adjustable legs. It sits on a stainless steel stand on 5 locking casters. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy Duty Gas Griddle with Stainless Steel Stand Chassis frame: fully welded stainless and aluminized steel Griddle plate: 1 polished steel with 12 gage, 4 stainless steel back and tapered side splashes Grease gutter and chute: fully welded to stop grease migration Grease drawer: 6 quart stainless steel Accessory stainless steel stand with 5 locking casters Dimensions Griddle: 36 W x 33 ½ D x 15 ¼ H 11 1/8 working height (no stand) 1 drawer. Stand: 37 W x 30 D x 24 H 36 cooking height on 5 casters Electrical and Gas Specifications: Three 27,000 BTU/hr U shaped aluminized steel burners Three embedded snap action thermostats with temperature adjust from 200F 550F One pilot safety valve for burners. Manual shut-off valve for gas inlet Dual (manual/electric) ignition. Griddle can be used in the event of power outages. ¾ rear gas connection and gas pressure regulator. 120V 50/60Hz 1Amp single phase with NEMA 5-15 USA plug. Description of how the equipment being requested operates: The griddle is initially started by turning the griddle shut-off valve to the ON position, then pushing and holding the power switch in the ON position. While holding the power switch on, push the pilot safety valve button to start the electric igniters. Watch for the pilot burners to ignite through the pilot sight holes. In the event of a failure of the electronic ignition system, the pilots can be ignited with an outside ignition source. Once ignited, the burners will take about 20-25 minutes to preheat before cooking, and the temperature can be adjusted manually. Where will the equipment being requested be used: Nutrition, Hospitality, and Food Service (NH&FS) Department Kitchen (Room 1153- Carl T. Hayden VA Hospital). This equipment will be used in the main kitchen in the hot food preparation area. Who will be using the equipment being requested: The griddle will be operated by the NH&FS Foodservice workers. Does this equipment involve any patient sensitive information or have the capability of storing patient information (If it does and you do not intend to use it please note that) No, this equipment does not involve or store patient information Does this equipment connect or have the capability of connecting to our system i.e. VISTA or CPRS.
