- This project is set-aside Total Small Businesses. The NAICS code for this project is 115310 Support Activities for Agriculture and Forestry. The small business size standard is no greater than $7.5 million. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet both Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. You may contact your local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) office (federal, not state office) for more information on the Small Business program. Your local SBA office's contact information may be found by accessing the SBA website (www.sba.gov). This is a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract for professional forestry services for the management of vegetation on National Forests in Region 5 located in the state of California. The management activities include, but are not limited to; unit layout, unit boundary designation, area determination, cruise design and plan, timber cruising, designation (timber marking), stand examination data collection and other similar types of work. Contractor will be given identifiable tasks including, but not limited to; a.Gathering resource data by conducting field investigations, such as stand examinations and forest inventories, and compiling data into reports (electronic and hardcopy), which may be used by the Forest Service in the NEPA planning process; as well as b.The layout of vegetation management units; designating cut or leave trees; cruising for gross and net volume; designating sensitive areas, such as cultural resource areas, wildlife trees, and streamside management zones, and sensitive plants; as well as boundary designation. The contract performance period will be one base year with up to 4 option years. Location: Work may be performed on any Region Five (5) National Forests. These are the National Forests within the State of California and a portion of Nevada on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. Other Federal Land Management agencies within or immediately adjacent to the state of California may place orders against this contract. The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately April 17, 2017. The date of award is expected to be within 30 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
