Project Map SF-18 RFQ Notice Type: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation - AG-8379-S-17-0006 Posted Date: April 3, 2017 Response Date: April 18, 2017 Set Aside: 100% SBA Certified HUBZone Small Business Product Service Code: F014-Tree Thinning Services NAICS Code: 115310 - Support Activities for Forestry, Small Business Size Standard - $19.0M This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement and all supporting documents constitute the only solicitation. Solicitation AG-8379-S-17-0006 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with an issue date of April 03, 2017 and a closing date of April 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT). Forest Fuels thinning services on archaeological sites are required for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) - Requirements contract to support the Santa Fe National Forest, Jemez Mountains. The Santa Fe National Forest intends to award a contract for fuels reduction treatments on approximately 1,200 archaeological sites across the Santa Fe National Forest - Jemez Mountains. The contractor shall provide a 10-person crew to hand thin, pile debris, remove slash, buck logs, and prune trees while being observed by a team of Forest Service Archaeologists. The objective is to reduce fuel loading on archaeological sites to mitigate the effects of prescribed fire and wildfire on cultural resources. The government intends to award a single IDIQ - Requirements contract from this announcement for a base period of one (1) year plus one (1) optional year period. The resulting contract from this solicitation shall not exceed 2 - years from the date of award. Award of the option is subject to the availability of Government funding and the contractor's satisfactory performance during the base contract period. This solicitation is a 100 percent HUBZone Set Aside. In order to qualify a firm must be on the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns per the Small Business Administration (SBA) website at http://www.sba.gov/hubzone. Firm Fixed Price Task Orders will be issued against the IDIQ - Requirements contract. Total value of Task Orders shall not exceed $800,000.00 over the life of the contract. The successful firm is guaranteed $1,000.00 over the life of the contract. The wages and benefits of service employees performing under this contract must be at the minimum equal to those determined by the Department of Labor under the Service Contract Act. Contractors must be registered with the US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM.gov) in order to be considered for a Government contract. Information regarding these requirements and how to register may be obtained from http://www.sam.gov. All questions regarding this Request for Quotation (RFQ) shall be sent in writing to Joseph Varoz - Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO) at jvaroz@fs.fed.us no later than Monday April 10, 2017 at 4:00 PM MDT. Offers are being accepted by electronic mail at jvaroz@fs.fed.us. Offers must be submitted using the solicitation information contained in this combined synopsis/solicitation including complete answers to the evaluation criteria, all fill-in clauses and required information shall be provided, and the complete response/quotation signed by company officer with contact information, DUNS #, e-mail address and phone number. Contractor responses are due no later than 10:00 AM, MDT on April 18, 2017. PROJECT INFORMATION: See attached SF-18 RFQ document.
