Description
Capability Statement Instructions Departmentalization Study Webinar Slides Draft Performance Work Statement Fiscal Year 2017 Tracking #IESE170055AP Solicitation Number ED-IES-17-R-0019 The U.S. Department of Education (Department) is hosting a Vendor Collaboration Webinar Event to provide pertinent details regarding a new Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 procurement: Impact Evaluation of Departmentalized Instruction in Elementary Schools (hereafter referred to as "Departmentalization Study") on behalf of the Departments' Institute for Education Sciences (IES), National Center for Education Evaluation and Regional Assistance (NCEE). The overarching purpose of the Departmentalization Study procurement is to evaluate the impact of departmentalized instruction in elementary schools on student achievement. More specifically, the evaluation will use a random assignment design to examine the impact of switching from self-contained instruction (teachers teach all subjects to a fraction of students in a particular grade) to departmentalized instruction (teachers teach one subject to all students in a particular grade). The intent of the Webinar is to allow interested parties and prospective offerors to obtain key information on the requirement, to allow for a robust understanding of the respective requirement in its entirety, to obtain valuable feedback on the Draft Departmentalization Study Performance Work Statement (PWS) from industry, and to provide a platform whereby both large and small businesses may obtain information on other interested parties to support small business subcontracting opportunities, and small business partnering and/or teaming arrangements. Prospective offerors are asked to submit capability statements. However, choosing to not submit a capability statement will not prohibit a prospective offerors' ability to submit proposals if/when the solicitation is released. DISCLAIMER: The Department will not pay or reimburse prospective offerors or interested parties for any costs associated with the development of capability statements submitted in response to this notice. Comments will not be provided to prospective offerors or interested parties regarding their capability Statement submissions. Interested parties are asked to R.S.V.P. by sending an email containing their company name, number of people attending the Webinar, socioeconomic size status in the applicable NAICS code and a key point of contact to Pavan.Mehrotra@ed.gov (cc:Veronica.Price@ed.gov), by April 7, 2015, at 2 P.M.
