Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul, Minnesota District is seeking small business sources for the Cross Lake Duplex Rail System project. The work site is located at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cross Lake Recreation Area, 35507 County Road 66 in Crosslake, MN (Crow Wing County). Our intent is to issue a Request for Quotes (RFQ) in late April 2017 for the award of one firm-fixed-price contract. Using USACE supplied plans and specifications, the contractor will complete the following construction activities: Remove the existing lift station rail system and supply and install a new duplex rail system to facilitate the existing duplex submersible grinder pump utilized in the lift station. The new system shall consist of providing the following new components, at a minimum: • Cast iron base elbows with check valve built into the hydraulic sealing flanges • Brass gate valves with stainless handle extensions • Stainless steel 1" guide rails • Stainless steel upper guide brackets • Stainless steel anchors for the entire retro fit • Schedule 80 PVC plumbing necessary to complete the installation Installation shall include labor and all necessary components for complete installation and startup. The contractor shall ensure the proper operation of the system and the lift station shall be fully functional upon completion of work. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors with a size standard of $15M. The estimated magnitude of construction is less than $25,000. Only those firms responding to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement for small business firms. In order for your response to this sources sought to be considered, you must provide all of the following: 1) A capability statement expressing your firm's interest in this requirement. 2) A statement or list of your firm's current or past technical experience and past performance similar to or the same as the summary scope of work and construction magnitude for this requirement. 3) A statement of your firm's business size and type (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), Small Disadvantaged, VOSB, or Woman-Owned) with regards to the NAICS code listed above. 4) Cage Code and DUNS number.
