Pre solicitation notice NAICS Code334- Computer and Electronic Product manufacturing /334511 - Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and instrument manufacturing Classification Code: 1240 - Optical Sighting & Ranging Equipment This serves as "Notice of Intent" of the Naval Sea Systems Command, Program Executive Office Littoral Combat Ships (PEO LCS) to issue sole source contract modifications under N00024-15-C-6318 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, 2000 W. NASA Boulevard, Melbourne, Florida. The PIO support will consist of the following: all necessary supplies and services, equipment and material, to evaluate, inspect, maintain, disassemble, repair, overhaul, refurbish, assemble and test the Airborne Laser Mine Detection Systems (ALMDS). The ordering period under this PIO line is estimated to end December 2018. This contract modification will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Northrup Grumman is the only source that can meet the Navy's requirement within schedule and budget. Successful completion of this effort requires intimate knowledge of the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System. Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, integrator and producer of the Airborne Laser Mine Detection System. Northrop Grumman is the only known source that possesses the necessary knowledge of design and operational requirements and the capability and expertise required to provide these supplies and services. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all expressions of interest or capability statements received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
