Description
Notice of intent to use a brand name product. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is performing a market survey to determine if other potential sources of supply can provide for a radio fire alarm transmitter that has the equal performance and listing/approval requirements as a Kingfisher Radio Fire Alarm Transmitter. NAVFAC Pacific uses the King Fisher fire alarm radio transmitter to operate with existing King Fisher fire alarm receivers. Currently, individual market research is conducted on a project to project basis. NAVFAC Pacific is consolidating the remaining transmitters for Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii and Naval Base, Guam under this market research. There are 500 remaining transmitter for Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii and 727 remaining transmitters for Naval Base, Guam. The requirements for radio fire alarm transmitter are: 1. Equipment shall be listed or approved by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) recognized by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to operate as a system with the existing Base receiving equipment. Existing Base receiving equipment is a Factory Mutual Laboratories Approved Kingfisher Company KFRA-C Emergency Alarm Receiver. 2. Equipment shall utilize narrowband radio communication meeting the requirements of National Telecommunications and Information Administration (Fire AlaNTIA) Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Frequency Management. This notification is for market research purposes only to identify if other potential sources of supply can meet the requirements of the Government. This is not a request for proposals, quotes or an invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify other potential sources for this product. To be considered, please submit detailed technical data in order for the Government to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your product to ensure compatibility with the existing system. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), a response to this notice is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The responder is solely responsible for the information it submits and any associated costs. The Government reserves the right to disregard any submittal that is incomplete or that is vague. Please do not submit your company brochures. Please submit your information via email to Wanda Okemura at wanda.okemura@navy.mil no later than 10:00 a.m. HST on April 24, 2017. Information received after this date and time will not be considered.
