- ***** Begin Word Document - 'FBO-DESCRIPTION' ***** Page 1 of Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 intends to award on a sole source basis [IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)] with the following vendor. Medicom Technologies, Inc. 434 Fayetteville Street Suite 1650 Raleigh, NC 27601 Medicom Technologies is currently identified as the only responsible source of licensing and support for Medicom software in accordance with the manufacturer s proprietary system statement. Services covered under this service contract are to include the following, but are not limited to: Medicom Software Renewal, Software Updates, and data transfer support for compatibility with existing Importer III software. This software will be acquired for purposes of upgrading Veteran Affairs patient care to match those of current industry standards. This acquisition will allow for direct transfer of patient data to and from commercial healthcare practices, while maintaining compatibility with current Government sytems. As stated previously, the proposed contractor, Medicom Technologies, is the only identified responsible source for fulfilling this requirement in its entirety. There are no other identified vendors or personnel certified to maintain these systems. This acquisition will be a single purchase of services, with a period of performance lasting one (1) calendar year from date of award. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (IAW FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 511210 with a Small Business Size Standard of $38.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit proof of certification, including costs, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same service. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
