RFI-FA9302-17-P-L018 SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR: PERFORMANCE ASSURANCE, REACTIVE SERVICE, & SPARE PARTS SERVICE AGREEMENT THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTATION OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION. This sources sought request for information is for the purpose of conducting market research to provide data for planning purposes. This sources sought synopsis announcement does not constitute a formal solicitation and is not a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid, does not obligate the government to award a contract, issue a solicitation, reimburse respondents for any proposal preparation and/or submittal costs, nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The 412 MXG at Edwards AFB would like to request pricing and/or capability to complete the following: The Performance Assurance and Reactive Service program contractor will be required to perform all the major maintenance checks that are recommended by the machine manufacturer. Comprehensive checks will be made by factory trained technicians on the Mechanical, Electrical, Air, Coolant, Spindle and Way Lube systems. Standard checks will also include yearly ball bar calibration for preventive and comprehensive diagnostic to provide an overall assessment of machine performance. The proposed work would be completed in 22-24 daily visits. The visits would occur over a 120 business day calendar period. Please note in an effort to not disrupt the facilities productivity our technician will perform and complete any needed preventive maintenance services on 1 to 2 machines at a time before working on any further machinery. For each daily visit the technician will work 8 hour days typically beginning Monday morning. Based on the proposed work week, we have developed a proposed up to a 5 week business day schedule.
