- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED WILL BE USED FOR PLANNING PURPURSE ONLY. QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED TO DETERMINE IF FAIR & REASONABLE PRICES CAN BE OBTAINED FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. VENDORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT PRICING AGAIN IN RESPONSE TO ANY SOLICITATION ISSUED. ALL INTERESTED SOURCES ARE ALLOWED TO RESPOND. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for quotes or proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Department of Veteran s Affairs discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice is voluntary and the Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of any results of the review of the information received. The Pacific Islands Healthcare System, Honolulu, HI, anticipates a requirement to Connection of Roam Alert to Current Door Alarm System. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed is 561621. The size standard for NAICS is $19.0 Million. The Purpose of the Requirement: To protect against elopement, each resident wears a small radio transmitter (the smallest and lightest on the market). Exits are protected by door controllers. When a resident approaches an exit, the door controller can lock the door to prevent the resident from leaving; or if the door is open, an alarm sounds. Description of Requirement: Installation/Connection of Roam Alert to Door Alarm System. Place of Performance: Pacific Islands Healthcare System, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819-1522 The Government's evaluation of the information received will be used to determine whether any subsequent solicitation for quotes should be issued based on full and open competition, full and open competition excluding sources, as a set-aside for small businesses, or any other particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, etc.); and if fair and reasonable pricing can be obtained. Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following e-mail address: Shannon Reid, Shannon.reid2@va.gov no later than April 12, 2017 12:00 pm PST. NOTE: RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 1 Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone, Email Address 2 - Duns & Cage Information, Socio-Economic Group, annual revenue and employee size, any anticipated teaming arrangements, System for Award Management expiration date, Vetbiz.gov registration and expiration date. 3 - Whether or not your company is a supplier or manufacture. 4 - Whether you will be offering an item/service from a Large or Small Business. Please state the name of the business. 5 Whether or not you are an authorized distributor/reseller of this product/service. 6 Whether or not this requirement is on your GSA/FSS/NASA SEWP Schedule and its number or state that your quotation will be Open Market. 7 If you will be offering the brand preferred or an equal. State the equal. 8 A description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. 9 - Any responses involving teaming agreements/subcontractors should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners/subcontractors. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. 10 - Status as a Foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated us of foreign national employees on this effort. 11 Pricing for this requirement. (Note: No Awards will be made based on pricing submitted. Pricing will be used to determine if the award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. If a subsequent solicitation is issued, an award will be made based on the pricing received under that solicitation number.)
