- DESCRIPTION DiaSorin Assay Kits Solicitation Number: ID05170020 Agency: General Services Administration Office: Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) Location: FAS Contracting Division (5QZAB) Notice Type: Sources Sought notice for DiaSorin Assay Kits for the 711 HPW USAFSAM/PHE at WPAFB Synopsis: OPENING STATEMENT: The Government objective is to purchase commercial items in support of the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, 711 Human Performance Wing, USAFSAM/PHE. The purpose of this notice is to (1) solicit the names of interested vendor(s) and their business size. The Government will use this market research in determining its solicitation strategy, and (2) announce the pending release of a solicitation for the required items. To obtain market information, the Government requests that all interested parties RESPOND TO THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS ON OR BEFORE 24 April 2017. RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE: Vendors who can fulfill this requirement and who would be interested in submitting a proposal, in the event that a solicitation is issued, are requested to provide the following information in response to this request: 1. REQUIRING ACTIVITY: This is a requirement of the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, 711 Human Performance Wing, USAFSAM/PHE, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. The 711 HPW mission is to advance aerospace medicine to enhance the health and performance of those they serve through education, research, and consultation. The vendor selected to fulfill this requirement will support this mission objective. The following information is provided. (1a) National Stock Number (NSN) if assigned: Not Applicable (1b) NAICS Code: 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing (1c) Product Service Code: 6550, In Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits and Sets (1d) Small Business Size Standard: 1,250 employees (2) Specification/Description of Requirement (summary): This requirement is for the acquisition of DiaSorin reagents in support of the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine, Epidemiology Laboratory Service Division (USAFSAM/PHE). PHE's mission is to provide timely clinical diagnostic testing and patient care for DoD beneficiaries' worldwide (over 225 clients). Specifically, these reagents will be used for approximately 235,000 infectious disease samples to be analyzed by PHEI on an annual basis. Additional contractor requirements will be met as specifically outlined in delivery orders placed against this IDIQ contract. (3) Manufacturer: DiaSorin, Inc.
