Description

Synopsis This is a sources sought announcement only. All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potential qualified small businesses that may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. No solicitation is being issued at this time, but may be issued at a later date. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested not will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 811219 Other Electronic & presision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The size standard for NAICS 811219 is $20.5M. The Birmingham VA Medical Center is seeking small business sources (i.e. Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Hubzone, 8a, Woman Owned, Small Disadvantaged, Small Businesses, etc.) to provide all labors and materials necessary in the performance of the requirement as provided in the Statement of Work (SOW) below. Interested firms are requested to provide their aforementioned information, along with interest and capability statements no later than 14 April 2017. No pricing input is being requested. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 10. Additional information regarding this requirement will be posted for viewing on FedBizOpps at https://www.fbo.gov/ as it becomes available. All potential offerors are reminded that lack of registration in the System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. NOTE: It is the responsibility of all potential offeror's to monitor the FedBizOpps web site for release of any future synopses or release of the solicitation and any associated amendments. STATEMENT OF NEED A. GENERAL GUIDANCE 1. Title of Project: Ultrasound Machine Repair 2. Scope of Work: The vendor shall perform maintenance on the CX50 Ultrasound system (shown below), EE# 64606, SN:SG41500083. These maintenance services shall include all parts, labor, and travel required to bring the medical equipment back to operation at OEM (original equipment manufacturer ) specifications. Problem: color interference on the linear probe, transducer L12-3 (MVT) Compact, SN: B1BG7N. Vendor FSE shall be fully trained and qualified by the OEM to service this equipment. All work shall be done in accordance with manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate the existing equipment. All repairs shall be made as soon as possible but no later than 30 days from date of award. 3. Performance Period: Within 30 days after Award 4. Type of Contract: Firm-fixed-price.
