Description
RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 3:00 P.M. EASTERN STANDARD TIME APRIL 18, 2017. This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS, and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Construction and Facilities Management (CFM), Eastern Regional Office, Silver Spring, MD is requesting letters of interest from potential experience Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) who are VA certified through VIP with a minimum single bonding capacity of $50M or greater, with regards to an upcoming project identified as VAMC Perry Point Community Living Center CLC, Perry Point, MD. The Department of Veteran s Affairs delivers nursing home services to veterans in community living center facilities. This project is currently designed to construct a Replacement Community Living Center (CLC) at the VAMC Perry Point, MD of approximately 172,000 gross square feet and 155 beds. The new Community Living Center includes a Community Center and thirteen houses, connected by an enclosed mall, and is designed to promote independence and resident choice in a home-like, residential setting. Each one-story, fully handicapped accessible house will allow easy access to secure outdoor living areas in a backyard, courtyard or front porch breezeway. By building on two terraced levels on the site, all houses are provided views to the Susquehanna River and Chesapeake Bay. The design incorporates Federal High Performance and Sustainable Buildings requirements. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, transportation, supervision, supplies and tools necessary to complete the work. Magnitude of Construction is $50,000,000 and $100,000,000. NAICS: 236220 Size Standard: $36.5M This project will be a Firm Fixed Price Design-Bid-Build The period of performance is expected to be approximately two years from notice to proceed. Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY (subcontractors should not submit) should submit capabilities statements demonstrating their experience in projects of similar nature as described above. Your response should include the following information in your response: details of similar contracts, project references (including owner with phone number and email address), size of business and size of contracts. If you are a small business, please provide any federally designated categories of small business. Additionally, provide information on your bonding capability both single and aggregate. Narratives shall be no longer than five pages. Responses are to be sent via email to Nancy Kebe via email at nancy.kebe@va.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time April 18, 2017. Submissions may be provided in any format using subject line Perry Point, MD CLC Comments will be shared with the Government and the project design team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. PLEASE NOTE: AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN RESPONSES FROM CERTIFIED SDVOSB and VOSB COMPANIES WHO HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE PRIME CONTRACTORS WITH MINIMUM SINGLE BONDING CAPABILITY OF $50M+.
