- Redacted Fido Griffin Brand Name Justification 1. SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR GRIFFIN 844 & FIDO X3 DETCTION KITS (BRAND NAME) A. INTRODUCTION 1. This is a Sources Sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time. 2. This is an initial step in the planning process for the delivery of a lapping machine. The Government is contemplating award of a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. 3. The 377 MSG/Contracting Division at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, seeks potential sources to provide two (2) Fido X3 Mil Kits, two (2) Griffin 844 Systems and accessories as listed below in paragraph D. to include FOB-Destination shipping to Kirtland AFB, NM 87117. 4. Delivery Date: Preferred 30 Day After Receipt of Offer (ARO). 5. The North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical systems and Instruments which has a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. B. INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS: 1. All businesses capable of providing this product are invited to respond. Any information provided to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Respondents are requested to submit capability packages electronically, as described below. a. Requested information listed below must be received no later than 1300 hours (Mountain Daylight Time) on 25 April 2017. b. Includes: basic Fido X3 starter kit as well as two years sustainment of consumables (requested on a quarterly basis from the Fido customer portal), warranty, software upgrades, initial operator training in Stillwater, OK (customer to cover travel costs), and customer support. The X3 will come in a customized Pelican Case and accessories. Per Year the Assurance Plan includes the following: - Sensing Elements: 30 boxes of 10 per box; delivered quarterly on request. - Sampling Swipes: 60 boxes of 50 per box; delivered quarterly on request. - Free Software/Firmware Updates. - E-mail access for Tech Support. - Priority Telephone Tech Support. - One Year Warranty w/5 day turn-around for systems returned for repair.
