Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division, (NSWC PCD), Panama City, FL intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed price purchase order to VPT, 1971 Kraft Drive Blacksburg, VA 24060 for ninety two (92) DC-DC Power Supplies, One Hundred Sixteen (116) EMI Filters, and twenty four (24) DC-DC power supply 5, -12, +12 used in the assembly of the Ethernet (E-NET) 1553 unit, Video Distribution Unit (VDU), and Craft Control Interface Unit (CCIU). This acquisition is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. The items being purchased were specifically tested and evaluated against the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) technical requirements as provided on the LCAC C4N System Baseline Configuration 4 (SBC4) product specification during the product's initial prototyping and evaluation phase. These components are used in a Build-to-Print drawing package and if another vendor's product is chosen at this point, there will be a redesign of the printed circuit board, heat sink, chassis, and harness modifications. Delivery will be no later than four (4) weeks after award of the order FOB Destination to the Receiving Office, Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA PC) 100 Vernon Ave., Panama City, FL 32407.
