Description
Sources Sought Synopsis Synopsis: Surface Decontamination Building 7044 The purpose of this sources sought is to gain knowledge of the potential interested HUBZone small business sources for this project. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. MICC-FH, may issue a solicitation and award of a contract to "Surface Decontaminate Building 7044". The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The anticipated NAICS code(s) is NAICS Code 238310 - Drywall and Insulation Contractors and standard business size is $15.0M. Description of project is as follows: The purpose of this project is to decontaminate all vertical and horizontal surfaces above 6 feet in the building using HEPA vacuum and wet damp cloth. Building is approx. 21,000 sf. All personnel that are performing maintenance operations where the contaminated settled dust accumulations are present, must wear appropriate personnel protective equipment (PPE) that includes full body disposable coveralls to include shoe covering, disposable impervious gloves (nitrile), respirators with P-100 cartridges, and eye protection (goggles) [ref 2.a., Part 1910.132]. Use of PPE is mandated by specific sections within reference for specific toxic materials (arsenic, lead, Cr VI, and cadmium). Disposable PPE will not be removed from the work area. It will be disposed of in appropriate receptacles within the facility. Contact DPW, Classification Unit for assistance in proper disposable, Reusable PPE (ex: goggles, respirators) will be cleaned in the facility with soapy water prior to departing facility. The toxic metals profile analysis included: Arsenic, Beryllium, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead, and Vanadium. This is only the market research phase of this requirement. By no means does this sources sought mean that the Government will enter into an agreement with your agency. The Government is trying to determine if there is adequate HUBZone competition in order to compete this requirement. If you are a HUBZone small business and you are interested in competing in this requirement please reply to this sources sought and respond to the following questions by Friday April 14 at 12:00 P.M. Contractor shall comply with Decontamination Standards and Procedures per Federal, State, Local Law, and Fort Hood Regulations. Are you licensed/certified to handle toxic materials (arsenic, lead, Cr VI, and cadmium)? If so, what licenses do you hold? 2. Please attach 3 references for similar work that your firm has performed. 3. Regarding project schedules, are you familiar with Gantt Charts and their purposes? 4. What is your bonding capability and limits? 5. Would you consider work on Fort Hood which includes the Davis Bacon Act Policies and guidelines? This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government wide Point of Entry. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the Government wide Point of Entry for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
