- This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2. The applicable NAICS Code is 621112 ; Size Standard is $11.0 M. The proposed project will be a competitive, total small business set-aside. OVERVIEW: The Indian Health Service (IHS), Nashville Area Office (NAO) has a requirement for a licensed psychiatrist at the Mashpee Service Unit located at: 483B Great Neck Road South, Mashpee, MA 02649. The ideal candidate should be readily available to treat the more challenging patients that fall outside of the scope of work of our Family Practitioner. The Licensed Psychiatrist must be able to treat psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar and other patients that fall outside the scope of the Mashpee Service Unit. The Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit requests that the Provider have the ability for medication management and treatment. The provider should have the ability to provide Clinical Consultation for Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit Patients including dual diagnosed Substance Abuse Specialist Patients. They must also work closely as needed with Behavioral Health Providers to assure the best methods of treatment are prescribed. The Provider will be asked to submit application for credentialing and privileging though the Mashpee Wampanoag Service Unit Governing Body. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · Offer psychiatric services for children, adolescents and adults, including medication management and monitoring. · Diagnose and treat psychiatric illness. · Enter notes and prescriptions into Mashpee Service Unit Electronic Health Record · Prevent substance abuse problems by appropriately treating mental illness. · Aid in recovery ·from substance abuse problems by treating mental illnesses. · Prescribe psychiatric medications when clinically indicated. · Closely collaborate with Behavioral Health Counselors and medical providers in treatment of patients with mental illness. · See patients at Mashpee Wampanoag Health Service Unit by referral and appointment. Treatment may occur via either on-site visit or tele-psychiatry between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm. Provider shall work (1) one-normal workdays per month for visits, as scheduled and be available for phone consultation up to 12 hours per month. The solicitation (Request for Proposals) will be issued electronically on or about May 1, 2017. A complete solicitation package is scheduled to be released and made available only through the FedBizOpps website at http://fbo.gov during the month of May 2017 with an anticipated closing date for proposals on or about May 17, 2017. It is the responsibility of the contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. Any questions to this notice must be submitted in writing via email to the Contracting Officer. NOTES: 1. Physical copies of the solicitation will not be provided. All documents for this project will be uploaded to https://www.fbo.gov. 2. The contractor shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1449 and acknowledge and/or sign all amendments at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will not be a public opening. All proposals shall be delivered in the method and by the time specified in the SF 1449. Proposals delivered shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time the proposals are due. 3. Contractors that are debarred or suspended are excluded from receiving contracts. The response date cited above is an estimate, not an actual. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award.
