Description
Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Sources Sought Notice This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance the Government s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Sources Sought. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit information about their capability, availability, and qualifications to provide the services described below. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking a vendor to provide two (2) FTE echocardiography / cardiac sonography technicians to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, West Haven VA Medical Center. Please see the General Requirements section below for a description of the requested services. This Sources Sought Notice will help the Network Contracting Officer better understand the market for these services. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Place of Performance: Contractor shall furnish services to the following site: West Haven VA Medical Center 950 Campbell Ave. West Haven, CT 06516 Period of Performance: The anticipated periods of performance for the contract resulting from this procurement are as follows: Base Period: 01 November 2017 31 October 2018 Hours of Operation: Contract Technicians shall work on-site with traditional 8:00am-4:30pm hours. There is no over time or weekend coverage needed. Services Required: The contractor's echocardiography technician will be able to perform all aspects of cardiac ultrasonography in the medical center, and is responsible to the Director of echocardiography cardiology section for the collection, processing and analysis of echocardiography data. This includes the performance of all outpatient emergency/routine, stress/contrast trans-thoracic echocardiograms, assist during invasive trans-esophageal echocardiograms and the total operation of the Cardiac Echo Laboratory without direct physician supervision. (Current equipment in use at VA Connecticut Healthcare System: Philips Epiq & Philips IE33 with 2-D and 3-D color Doppler, tissue Doppler and strain package.) Estimated Quantities: The following chart represents the total estimated quantities for the two techs: Work Hours Regular Pay 4160 Travel & Lodging 4160 Qualifications: All licenses held by the Contractor staff working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Contractor staff must submit evidence of at least one full, active, current and unrestricted licensure, registration, certification, and/or other relevant credentials, for verification prior to appointment and throughout the employment process, as requested by the COR. RESPONSE COMMITMENT: NOTES: All questions, comments, or concerns should be directed to leah.bennett2@va.gov. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender. No debriefs will be conducted. Eligibility in participating in a future acquisition does not depend upon a response to this notice. Proprietary information is neither requested nor desired. If such information is submitted, it must clearly be marked "proprietary" on every sheet containing such information, and the proprietary information must be segregated to the maximum extent practicable from other portions of the response (e.g., use an attachment or exhibit). The Government will not share proprietary information. TIMELINE: This request will close on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1PM EST. Your company s capability of fulfilling this requirement as it is described. Your company s experience in providing the same or very similar services to those outlined above. Your company s experience in successfully performing the same or very similar Government contracts for the required services.
