- This Request for Information is for information and planning purposes only and is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This information will be used to determine availability of vendors capable of meeting Government minimum requirements and the availability of small business capable of providing for this requirement. As a result of this notice, the Government may issue a Request for Proposal/Quotation; however, there is no solicitation available at this time. Army Contracting Command- Warren is seeking vendors capable of providing pier side global service operations on multiple watercraft vessels CONUS and OCONUS. Vendors must have an Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR). Vendors who have performed any Pier Side Repairs for any Army, Navy or Coast Guard vessels within the past 3 years who have global capabilities and may have had The North American Classification Code (NAICS) 336611, Ship Building and Repairing are encouraged to respond. Vendors interested in responding to this RFI shall provide a technical capabilities statement that describes the expertise in performing Pier Side Repairs and Global capabilities, which should include work performed, date of contract award and contract number. The submission shall also include the following; company name, address, CAGE code, DUNS number, years in business, parent company, joint venture partners, NAICS, business size/socio-economic status, government business point of contact information and global business reach. An example of scope of work could include but not limited to the following; a. Analysis of failed components b. Investigation of field incidents c. Fabrication of test asset hardware for trial installation and/or testing d. Structural analysis on parts, components, and assemblies e. Observation of Government and/or third party tests f. Field review of modification and/or failed parts or systems g. Failure analysis h. Technology surveys i. Architecture evaluations j. Manufacture Readiness Level (MRL) analysis k. System requirement analysis This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute as an Invitation for Bids, a Request for Proposals, Solicitation, Request for Quotes, or an indication that the Government will contract for the items contained herein. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this notice. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this sources sought notice. Any responses received will not be used as a proposal. This is not a Request for Proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Contractors who have performed Pier Side Repairs are asked to submit the above mentioned information to the attention of Jennifer Harris, Contract Specialist, Jennifer.l.harris194.civ@mail.mil, by 5:00pm, EDT on May 3rd, 2017.
