- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION VISN 23 is conducting market research to compile information from businesses which offer the following six reagents. The reagents must be Brand Name Only (no substitutions or Equal-To products). The market research is multi-purpose: To identify a single business that can provide all six reagents. To identify Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business or Veteran Owned, Small Business distributors. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY: The market research is looking to identify potential vendors who have the capabilities to offer the following: NAICS CODE: 325413 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing Product Service Code: 6550 In-Vitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits and Sets _______________________________________________________________________ 1. DESCRIPTION BRAND NAME ONLY: Immucor CorQC: Reagents for blood bank. 2.4.1.1.7. Quality Control of Blood Bank reagents 2.4.1.9. CorQC reagent cells: group AB, D+ must be a 2-4% suspension with preservative to retard hemolysis and loss of antigenicity during the dating period. Used to evaluate the performance of Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-A,B, Anti-D, and Rh control. CorQC Anti-serum: blend of polyclonal/monoclonal (murine/human) antibodies diluted with bovine albumin in physiologic saline to simulate the protein concentration of human serum. Used to evaluate serum (reverse) grouping red blood cells and antibody detection red blood cells. Prior to release, each lot of CorQC must be tested with licensed FDA reagents from two or more sources to insure that the product produces results within the ranges listed in the package insert. 2. DESCRIPTION BRAND NAME ONLY: Quotient Biodiagnostics Orr Cells: Reagents for blood bank. 2.4.1.1.7. O cell reagents for negative quality control 2.4.1.9. O cells must be a 2-3% suspension of washed red blood cells capable of identifying agglutination due to non-ABO agglutinins. The Rh phenotype of the group O cells shall be ccdee. Prior to release, each lot of Reagent Red Blood Cells for ABO serum grouping must be tested by FDA recommended methods to confirm specificity. 3. DESCRIPTION BRAND NAME ONLY: Immucor Tech-Chek: Reagents for blood bank. 2.4.1.1.6. Products for competencies 2.4.1.10. Tech-Chek must contain 2 vials per set (1 vial of unknown red blood cells and 1 vial of unknown serum) Each product is to be designed as a self-evaluation test system with different levels of complexity for testing by manual tube methods in order to help laboratory personnel develop and maintain the necessary skills in performing blood banking procedures. 4. DESCRIPTION BRAND NAME ONLY: Quotient Biodiagnostics A1 Cells: Reagents for blood bank. A1 cell reagents for serum (reverse) grouping of patients 2.4.1.1.1. Reagent Red Blood Cells 2.4.1.8. A1 must be a 2-3% suspension of washed pooled red blood cells capable of detecting Group A and Group B patients. The Rh phenotype of the group A1 and B cells shall be ccdee. Prior to release, each lot of Reagent Red Blood Cells for ABO serum grouping must be tested by FDA recommended methods to confirm specificity. 5. DESCRIPTION OBRAND NAME ONLY: Quotient Biodiagnostics B Cells: Reagents for blood bank. B cell reagents for serum (reverse) grouping of patients 2.4.1.1.1. Reagent Red Blood Cells 2.4.1.8. B Cells must be a 2-3% suspension of washed pooled red blood cells capable of detecting Group A and Group B patients. The Rh phenotype of the group A1 and B cells shall be ccdee. Prior to release, each lot of Reagent Red Blood Cells for ABO serum grouping must be tested by FDA recommended methods to confirm specificity. 6. DESCRIPTION BRAND NAME ONLY: Ortho Clinical Diagnostic Selectogen reagents: Reagents for blood bank. 2.4.1.1.4. Products for antibody investigation 2.4.1.7. Selectogen reagents (I and II) must be a 0.8% suspension of group O red blood cells in a low ionic strength diluent. Each set of Selectogens must include an ANTIGRAM Antigen Profile. The presence or absence of each antigen listed on the accompanying ANTIGRAM Antigen Profile must be tested with at least two sources of antiserum (unless rarity of antiserum precludes it). Testing must be conducted and interpreted independently. Each lot must be checked for compatibility with the ID-Micro Typing System gel test cards.
