- Description
- a. Construction Bldg. 37100, 37029, 37030, 37031, and 37046 1. Install a 100 pair figure eight aerial cable from B37100 to B37031 across existing poles. The new aerial cable shall be installed in accordance with all applicable guidelines in regards to road crossings, powerlines, tension, and sag. Install or replace new poles and structures along the path to ensure all poles are structurally sound. 2. Install splice cases at the telephone poles at B37029, B37030, and B37031. Place a sufficiently sized lockable box six feet off the ground at al splice locations with a 100 through and through splice case. 3. Remove the existing six pair cable and install a new six pair from the telephone pole to B37031. Ensure cable terminations at B37028 and B37031 are on protector blocks and properly grounded. 4. Install any and all required guy wires and grounding on all poles installed and utilized. Bldg. 37100 5. At B37100 install a new appropriately sized conduit from the entrance to room Q. 6. Provide any required core drills to complete the installation of the required conduit. 7. Pull back the existing six pair cable from B37100 to B37028 and pull through the new conduit to room Q. 8. Relocate all existing equipment from the existing backboard to a new 4 x 8 backboard. Place new protector blocks to support all new and existing OSP cables. 9. All outages due to the installation or rerouting of cables needs to be coordinated with the customer one week prior to ensure proper coverage of facilities during the expected down time.
