Description
POLE CREEK GUARD STATION WATER TANK REPAINTING This project includes the repainting of a 7000-gallon bolted steel water tank, 12 foot diameter x 8 foot high. Both interior and exterior surfaces will be repainted. The work includes sandblasting or other approved surface preparation, repairing deteriorated surfaces as needed to maintain structural integrity, repairing the interior ladder, installing a new seal around the inlet pipe, and coating the tank surfaces with a 2-part alkyd epoxy coating. All interior coatings must be NSF approved for drinking water systems. PROJECT LOCATION The project is located at the Pole Creek Guard Station on the Jarbidge Ranger District in Elko County, Nevada. Pole Creek GS is located approximately 16 miles south of Three Creek, Idaho, via FS Road 58074 (Pole Creek Road). SITE INFORMATION AND LIMITATIONS The following site conditions are considered incidental to the contract and the contractor will not be paid directly for any of the following items: 1.Utilities are not available at the site for construction purposes. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating/providing required power and water for construction operation. 2.The Contractor shall provide temporary toilet facilities (porta-potty) at the site during all construction work. Toilet facilities shall be provided at a rate of one stool for every 10 workers assigned or working on site with a minimum of one required. 3.Access to the tank site from the Pole Creek GS is via 3 miles of improved native surface road, and approximately ½ mile of unimproved route. The unimproved route may generally follow an abandoned two-track road or an alternate route approved by the Contracting Officer. Estimated Start Date: July 20, 2017, contract time 45 Calendars Days.
