Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for the Durham VA Medical Center, with Johnson & Johnson Healthcare for catheters and cath lab supplies. These items are specific to 3-D CARTO equipment (manufactured by Bioscience a Johnson & Johnson company). The equipment allows the exact location to be pinpointed for insertion of a heart catheter. The catheters and requested supplies are specific to this equipment and any deviation in type or brand or could compromise patient safety. NAICS code 339112 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 08:00 AM EST, April 18, 2017 to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
