Description
An Industry Day informational presentation will be conducted on Tuesday, 02 May 2017 at the Ramada Inn, 1200 N. Westshore Blvd, Tampa, FL 33607 from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM local time (Eastern Time). All attendees will be required to check-in at 9:30 AM Eastern Time. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend the informational session. All interested attendees must submit their name, their company name and email address to Brenna Crawford at Brenna.a.crawford@usace.army no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time on 28 April 2017. Description of Project: The project is for the construction of a 200-member Army Reserve Center (ARC) and Aviation Support Facility (ASF). Primary facilities include the construction of a combined ARC Training Building and Aviation Support Facility (ASF) (109,454 square feet (SF)), and Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS) (6,505 SF), and an Unheated Storage Building (15,140 SF) and the relocation of the existing Skeet and Grenade Launcher ranges on MacDill AFB. Project will also include wetland mitigation and compliance inspections in accordance with a wetlands permit that includes the removal of invasive species and planting of native species over an area of approximately 15 acres. Buildings will be of permanent construction with reinforced concrete foundations; concrete floor slabs, reinforced concrete or masonry walls; low-slope or sloped roof; Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC); and plumbing, mechanical security and electrical systems. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, two-tiered loading ramp, fencing, general site improvements wetland mitigation, and utility connections. Accessibility for the disabled will be provided. Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and physical security measures will be incorporated into the design including maximum standoff distances from roads, parking areas and vehicle unloading areas. Sustainability/Energy measures will be provided. Facilities will be designed to a minimum life of 50 years in accordance with DoD's Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 1-200-02) including energy efficiencies, building envelope and integrated building systems performance.
