Map 3 Vicinity Map Map 2 Units 10-33 Map 1 Units 1 - 9 Wage Determination Experience Past Performance Questionnaire Solicitation Limestone Crop Tree Release NOTIFICATION OF REQUEST FOR QUOTATION The U.S. Forest Service, Monongahela National Forest has a requirement for crop tree release services on the Cheat/Potomac Ranger District located in Tucker County, West Virginia. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The Forest Service contemplates award of a firm-fixed-price order as a result of this combined synoposis/solicitation PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: Provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation and supervision to perform crop tree release in order to release preferred trees from competing trees and vines as per the specifications and conditions of Solicitation AG-3434-S-17-0018. SITE VISIT: The government is planning a pre-quotation conference and project showing for April 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Interested parties will meet at the Cheat Ranger Station located at the Nursery Bottom, Parsons, WV. A site visit will follow. A location map is included with this solicitation. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (www.sam.gov) before a purchase order can be awarded. Registration in that database is free of charge. BASIS OF AWARD: Basis of award will be Best Value to the Government. Past performance, experience, other factors and price will be factored into the award decision. Past performance, experience and other factors, when combined, are equal to price. Please see evaluation criteria directions on page 36 of the solicitation. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance for this project will be June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018. All quotes and required documentation shall be submitted to the U. S. Forest Service, Monongahela National Forest, emailed to Sharon Helms shelms@fs.fed.us or mailed to Attention: Sharon Helms, 200 Sycamore St., Elkins, WV 26241, no later than May 15, 2017, at 4:30 p.m., Eastern Time. Please include the solicitation number on the subject line of the email or on the envelope address. Fax quotes will not be accepted.
