QUALIFICATIONS: Personnel conducting the survey, inspection and report shall be registered roofing consultants (RRC) and members of the Roof Consultants Institute (RCI). AE Firms or Roofing Consulting Firms must submit SF 330 Part II: 1) Location; (2) Specialized experience; (3) Professional capabilities; and (4) Capacity, with respect to the scope of work that can be undertaken. A firm's ability and experience in computer-assisted design will be considered. SF 330 Part II should be no more than 30 pages. We encouraging firms to submit annually an updated statement of qualifications and performance data on a SF 330, Part II. REQUIRED WORK TASKS: A. Remove debris only as required to complete a thorough examination of the roof surface, flashings, drains, parapet, clerestory windows, and associated areas as required. B. Test the roof drains to determine adequate roof drainage. C. Complete to the extent possible a non-destructive inspection of moisture intrusion and capture. D. Provide a survey of findings, recommendations for repair or replacement as required. Due to limited funds recommendations for repair or replacement will need to be prioritized. E. Provide a budgetary estimate to complete the required repairs. DESCRIPTION OF THE B94 ROOF: Building 94 houses the executive management offices of the FLETC. The current roof shows a built-up asphalt roofing system with a top layer of mineral surface roll roofing. It is unknown at this time whether this was a recover over an earlier roofing system. The main reception area and sally port was added later and has a metal seam metal roof. Roof area is approximately 35,000 square feet. A brick parapet wall having a metal coping surrounds the roof. Surface drains connect to risers through the interior of the building and into underground drain headers on the east and west sides of the building.
