- This Sources Sought Notice is only for the proposed contract work listed in the requirement section below. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Plans and specifications are not available at this time. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received by email or fax no later than the date specified in the response section. This intent of this sources sought is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HUBZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of performing the proposed contract work. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company has the capability and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) Company Name (b) Address (c) Point of contact (d) Phone, fax, and email (e) DUNS number (f) Bonding Capacity (per contract) (g) Type of small business, e.g., Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, or Small Disadvantaged Business. (h) Listing of your highway/bridge construction experience within the last 3 years where you were the prime contractor for work of similar type and scope. Include contract numbers, titles, locations, and dollar amounts. Requirement: The proposed contract action is for a firm-fixed-priced construction contract. The contractor shall reconstruct 5.4 miles of roadway along Warren Wagon Road, from the city/county boundary to Eastside Drive, and provide a 28' asphalt surface for travel lanes and shoulders. The work will involve excavation, grading, drainage, guardrail, base, and paving. The primary objective of the proposed contract is to: provide greater vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety; provide drainage improvements; improve unstable material under the roadway; and fix a degrading roadway surface. The project is located in Valley County, Idaho, near McCall, Idaho. It is anticipated that construction will occur between May 2018 and November 2019. NAICS Code 237310, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, applies to this procurement with a size standard of $36.5 million. Estimated Price Range: Between $10 million and $15 million. Response: Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should include all information requested in (a) through (h) above. Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it, pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Any offeror capable of providing this service shall respond to this sources sought by e-mail to wfl.contracts@dot.gov or by FAX to 360-619-7932 no later than April 27, 2017, 1600 PT.
