- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Large and Small Businesses, including Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332999 (All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing). The Cactus, LLC Smart Sink is known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that responsible Large and Small Businesses, including VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Line Item No. Description Qty Unit 0001 10100 SINK UNIT, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE DISPOSAL, SMART SINK, SECURED, TAMPER-PROOF TECHNOLOGY, REGULATION COMPLIANT, RENDERS PHARMACEUTICAL WASTE UNRECOVERABLE, NON-RETRIEVABLE & UNUSABLE, ACCEPTS LIQUIDS, TABLETS, CAPSULES & PATCHES, PROVIDES AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALERTS WHEN CARTRIDGES ARE FULL OR EXPIRE, EASY TO INSTALL 26 EA 0002 10201 CARTRIDGES, LIQUIDS (4PK) 39 PG 0003 10301 CARTRIDGES, SOLIDS (4PK) 39 PG Salient Characteristics (Cactus Smart Sink or EQUAL): Must be able to accept raw pharmaceutical waste, including solids, liquids and patches. Must be able to immediately render unused pharmaceuticals non-retrievable, as defined in 21 CFR 1300.05. Must be able to be wall-mounted. Interested VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 332999 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Jim Hedman at james.hedman2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 09:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time on Friday, April 21st, 2017.
